Lighthouse-Point Pedro The topmost tip of Sri Lanka is where Point Pedro is located. Point Pedro is the Northernmost town of the Island. Point Pedro lighthouse was built in 1916 and is located at Northeastern corner of Sri Lanka and the Southern entrance to Palk Strait. The 31m height white conical masonry tower displays one white flash visible up to 10 nautical miles every 5 seconds. This has round masonry tower with a beacon and light gallery, painted white. The tower contains a beacon light guiding ships and fishermen.
